Westside took no pity on the host as the Rams pummeled Travelers Rest, 48-20, in a Region 1-4A game held Monday night after a Friday rainout.

The Rams (3-4, 2-0 region) led 26-6 at halftime at Chico Bolin Stadium in TR.

The Devildogs (3-3, 0-1) pulled to within 12 points (32-20) early in the 4th quarter, but the rally was short-lived as the Rams tacked on 2 touchdowns and a safety before the final horn sounded.

This year the trick for Westside has been outscoring the opposition, not that it is ever not the case. The Rams have needed lots of scores to do so. Seven games into the season, Westside has been consistently prolific when in possession of the ball. Unfortunately, the collective opposition has been slightly more prolific.

As such, the trip to Travelers Rest was a confidence and momentum builder. The Rams needed to swamp someone ... again. It's two in a row now. Easley went down in a heap 58-20 the game before.

The splendid Pete Zamora has connected on 59.2 percent of his passes for the season to date. He has amassed 1,289 yards and produced 10 touchdowns while yielding only 3 interceptions.

Amir Dendy has rushed for 10 touchdowns amid his 68 carries for 623 yards.

The Rams can move it. They proved to the Devildogs they could stop it.
