GREER -- Palmetto (2-4, 1-1 Region 2-3A) tamed the Blue Ridge Tigers (1-5, 1-1) to the tune of 41-18, scoring 5 rushing touchdowns and a kickoff return on Monday night.

The Mustangs led 27-0 at halftime of a game originally scheduled for Friday night.

Ragan Davenport passed for 178 yards, completing 12 of 20 passes with 2 touchdowns.

Strong, too, was Palmetto’s rushing game. Zach Edwards tormented the Fighting Tigers, rushing for 129 yards and 2 TDs, while Xzorian Brown rushed for a 42-yard score on his only carry and later cashed in a 67-yard kickoff return.

Brown also caught 5 of Davenport’s passes for 95 yards and a score. Edwards caught 4 for 50 yards, scoring yet another TD.

On defense, Gabe Harvey made 20 tackles, 6 of them solo and 2 for loss. He also forced a Blue Ridge fumble.
