After 4 straight losses by a combined 120 points to begin the season, the Pendleton Bulldogs are finally in the win column. They picked up a 41-6 victory over West Oak on Friday night at home.
The game was close through one quarter. Pendleton only led 7-0, and there were 5 combined fumbles — 3 for Pendleton (1-4), 2 for West Oak (0-3).
In the 2nd quarter, the Bulldogs scored 3 touchdowns to go up 28-0. Conner Simpson threw a 46-yard touchdown pass to Luke Taylor and another touchdown pass to Abijah Webb. Then, Kendal Turmon rushed for a 9-yard touchdown right before the half.
The Bulldogs added one more score in both the 3rd and 4th quarters, and the Warriors got their lone score in the 4th. Pendleton found itself on the winning end of a blowout for a change.
The Bulldogs hope to use their momentum against Palmetto (0-3), another winless team, next week at home.
